Here are the top cities to travel to: Boston, Washington D.C., and Williamsburg. These cities are home to celebrations that focus on the historical aspects of the holiday.

For kids, Orlando is always a good bet with Walt Disney World and their unique fireworks display, which is touted to be the best in the country. Travel to Texas for the Austin Symphony Orchestra for their unique Independence Day celebration. Want to go coastal? San Francisco’s Pier 39 offers fun and food, and even day trips around the bay!
