We believe that everyone deserves a reason to smile. Yet, millions of people go without basic dental care because of cost or a lack of nearby dentists. This leads to serious problems. Untreated dental issues not only cause severe pain, make it hard to eat, and can keep people from going to school or work, they have a significant impact on overall health, adding to the already challenging circumstances for these families.
That is why we partner with the Smiles for Everyone Foundation to provide free dental care services to people who need it most.
The Impact of Your Help
The foundation works locally and around the world. Over the years, the organization has delivered more than 205,000 free smiles. It has also improved the lives of more than 923,000 people globally.
Your generous donations pay for essential medical supplies and local dental clinics. Because dental experts volunteer their time, the cost to treat a patient is very low. In fact, it costs only about $4.48 to deliver care to one person.
Real Stories of Lives Changed
The foundation sends teams to areas that lack access to care, even when travel and local conditions are difficult:
- Kimberli’s First Visit: In Central America, many families live on less than $2 a day, making dental care impossible. The foundation met Kimberli, a 42-year-old woman who had never once seen a dentist. She arrived with constant dental pain and left with relief, dignity, and a restored smile.
- Keeping a Promise in Thailand: After severe floods delayed a mobile dental clinic by six months, a young boy at a local children’s home patiently waited for help. The volunteer team finally arrived to treat him and 15 other children, proving that while challenges may delay care, promises are kept.
- Caring for Neighbors: Along with international missions, the foundation hosts Community Smile Projects right here in the United States. These local events provide free cleanings and dental repairs for people in need in our own neighborhoods.
