Thanks a Melon!
In case you missed it, watermelon was all the rage last summer. Anybody who was anybody posted at least one Instagram photo with a slice of watermelon (or if you’re fancy, a watermelon cocktail) in hand.
If you were one of the few who lived in oblivion, don’t worry! You can redeem yourself this summer. Aside from being the perfect Instagram accessory, watermelon is a refreshing summertime treat that tastes great and actually helps your teeth stay healthy.
Similar to watermelons, which are rich in vitamin C, peaches and strawberries are nutritious bites that reduce inflammation and protect gums against disease. Fruits, like apples and pears, and vegetables, such as celery and broccoli, are also great additions to any summertime platter, as they fight against decay and strengthen tooth enamel.
And let’s not forget, every summer kickback needs a barbeque! After flipping those patties, make sure to add a slice of cheese and some raw onion to complete your gourmet meal. Aside from being top-notch burger condiments, these ingredients also protect teeth from unwanted bacteria.
So, kick back, relax, grab a tasty snack, and flash us those pearly whites!
