When deciding on a treatment to replace a missing tooth or teeth it’s best to consider the longevity of the material and what will be the closest to functioning and looking like natural teeth. You may save money upfront by choosing a bridge or dentures, but in the long run you’re much better off going with dental implants, as they function like natural teeth and they can last a lifetime. Dental implants mirror the structure of the original tooth. A titanium screw is placed into the jawbone and takes the place of the root of a tooth. It becomes the foundation on which to build new teeth.
The entire process typically takes 3-6 months.
